Reminder: Weiss Award deadline is approaching – Friday, February 15

One week remains to develop and submit your entry for the 2nd Annual Weiss Award for Investigative Journalism.  The Center for Public Interest Journalism is accepting submissions until  midnight on Friday, February 15, 2013.  Three winners will be chosen: a $10,000 top prize and two $2,500 special recognition prizes.

Investigative work published during 2012 in the nine-county Greater Philadelphia region is eligible for the award. To read a full set of guidelines, go here.

To improve your application, view a webinar hosted by Arlene Morgan, Associate Dean for Prizes and Programs at Columbia, and Charlotte Hall, former editor of the Orlando Sentinel, intended to help applicants shape their submissions to standout and make a clear case for their merits.
