Video: Community leaders and local journalists meet in Norris Square
Community leaders and local journalists recently gathered at the Norris Square Civic Association for a discussion intended to help journalists better understand the stories, key issues and best practices for reporting on Norris Square, North Philadelphia and Latino communities across the city.
The event was organized by the Center for Public Interest Journalism at Temple University and moderated by Temple Journalism Professor George Miller.
The Center, with the help of local journalists’ associations, has commenced a series of conversations on news coverage of diverse communities in Philadelphia, including previous events at Mother Bethel A.M.E. Church and Asian Arts Initiative.
In the coming days, we plan to post video of the full meeting and interviews that followed.
