Full duration: CPIJ community conversation at the Media Mobilizing Project last month

Early last month, community leaders and local journalists packed the headquarters of the Media Mobilizing Project in West Philadelphia for our latest community conversation. Now, you can watch the complete meeting above, or view the recap we recently posted.

While addressing planned topics including education, labor and poverty, much of the discussion focused on how community organizations can get their messages out, work together with journalists and foster more accurate coverage of their issues.

The event was organized by the Center for Public Interest Journalism at Temple University, which has commenced a series of conversations on news coverage of diverse communities in Philadelphia, including previous events at the Norris Square Civic AssociationMother Bethel A.M.E. Church and Asian Arts Initiative.

Please share your observations and suggestions for next steps and future events in the comments area below, on our Facebook page or via Twitter @CPIJournalism.
