Temple hosts seventh annual Barcamp News Innovation

More than 150 people attended BarCamp NewsInnovation 2015 at the Temple School of Media and Communication, including representatives from the New York Times, Washington Post, NBC Nightly News, Business Insider, Google, Yahoo, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Vox Media and many more leading news organizations.
Pre-planned panels included a session on Open Data Philly with Robert Cheetham of Azavea and City of Philadelphia Chief Data Officer Tim Wisniewski, “Critical Thinking and Credibility” by Erika Owens and Dan Schultz of Knight Mozilla and “The best GIS examples for telling news stories” by Andy Eschbacher of CartoDB.
Lauren Rabaino, director of editorial products at Vox Media, presented the lunchtime keynote. BCNIPhilly shared her slides:
